September wishlist 2015!

This is it. We are already in the 9th month of the year and time does not seem to be slowing down for anything! We are now reaching the month where autumn begins to creep in, fluffy jumpers are pulled out and my cravings for a toasty hot chocolate increase dramatically.

I'm feeling a little beauty update and plan on altering my daily make up this month, so alot of beauty products are featured in this little wish list.

(L-R)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - £15.50
- My brows have finally grown out (yay) so now i need something a little more natural looking to give more gentle definition to my brows.

Next at home A-Z letter cushions - £10.00

Velvet Ghost throw - Primark - £10.00

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer - £7.99
- As much as i love my Rimmel Wake me up, i need a little change and have heard good things about this!

MAC Look In A Box - pretty natural £29.00
Contains lipstick: pretty natural, lipglass: feeling fine and lip pencil: subculture

Artist of Makeup Highlight Stick - £18.00

Sasha oversized V neck jumper in Charcoal - Boohoo - £15.00

Nails inc - Battersea park polish - £14.00

New Beauty Product Reviews July 2015!

Hello! Long time no speak. Managing two part time jobs and a blog is a lot harder than i thought, however it has given me the time to collect up some bits and bobs i will be reviewing today, enjoy!

BOURJOIS FOUNDATION: HEALTHY MIX - £10.99
I'm going to be 100% honest here, and say that this foundation has completely changed my opinion on all foundations i have ever tried in my life. This is honestly amazing! I thought my previous Rimmel Wake me Up / Loreal Infallible foundation were really good foundations but now i have tried this it knocks all of the old ones off the charts! This foundation feels nice and light on the skin and leaves a gorgeous dewy finish without looking remotely shiny. The colour i have (no 52 vanilla) matches my very pale skin nicely. It lasts all day without a primer and as the bottle says, it actually does leave my skin feeling hydrated. If you are looking to buy a new foundation, please try this one out!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS - WATERPROOF CREME COLOUR LINER (JET) £18.00 + DIPBROW POMADE (SOFT BROWN) £15.00
I love this brand and always have done, however for me spending this much money on two products is not a usual thing, i like to try the cheaper drugstore brands first as who doesn't like saving money! However i already love the dipbrow, i previously had the colour Chocolate but as my hair lightens in the summer i went for Soft Brown this time. It's lovely and creamy and gives my brows that extra oomph they need whilst they are still after 5 months growing out.

I was expecting amazing things from the liner but i'm still a little unsure. I do use it every day as it is so much better than any i already own, but it has a few cons in itself. The formula is so dry that you have to apply it very quickly and often looks dry towards the end of the day. Now i can deal with this, as unlike other gel liners this one doesn't flake off at all. It is nice and light and does not smudge onto my upper eyelids at all! It does last a long time too, sometimes i sleep in my makeup by mistake and wake up with perfect winged liner the next day!

JOHN FREIDA GO BLONDER SHAMPOO - £5.99
My hair is a browny/blondey gold colour with year old blonde highlights at the bottom. This shampoo smells nice and cleans my hair well. It does gradually brighten highlights if used consistently for a few weeks but doesn't make major changes. I will continue to use it, as it does a pretty acceptable job on my way too old highlights.

EYLURE ENCHANTED LASHES - POISE £5.25
False lashes are great for special occasions and makeup looks, however the older i get, the more i move away from the thick long ones, i want to make my false lashes look as natural as possible yet still give off a gorgeous finish. These lashes by Eylure are perfect! The enchanted collection is sadly limited edition and i might have to stock up as they are so beautiful and pretty. The poise lashes are nice and light on the eye with an invisible band for a natural finish. They are not too long, or thick yet are nice and full giving the lots-of-lashes effect! I love these so much and will definitely buy some more.

SEVENTEEN INSTANT GLOW CREAM BRONZER - £4.99
My hunt for an amazing bronzer is still ongoing after months and months and months. I picked up this sweet looking bronzer from boots and had high hopes! However as for the colour, it looks great in the pan but orange on the face. The texture is actually lovely and when mixed with a powder bronzer, can be worn. It is not great though and i felt ever so disappointed. Bronzer's are the bane of my life!

BARRY M FINE GLITTER DUST £4.50
I recently went too a nice fancy party where i could have so much fun with my makeup and glam it up to the extreme. The theme of the party was 'glitz and glam' so glitter eyeshadow was the way forward. I was so excited to use this, as i don't really have much experience with loose pigments. It got to the day and as i looked at the label too see the name (gold iridescent) i saw in tiny writing 'not to be used around the eyes' but i thought forget that and was a rebel and used it anyway. Even though its messy this colour is gorgeous! It doesn't feel to rough and lasts all night without hardly any fall out. I am very impressed with this eyeshadow even though it isn't actually meant for eyes.

Thanks so much for reading and sorry for the absence! I have missed this alot, Chloe :)

GRWM: Subtle Smokey Brown Eyes Tutorial

Hello! Today's post is a nice little get ready with me tutorial on how to create a soft smokey brown eye look that can be worn really subtly in the day time, or can be glammed up for a nice evening effect.

The first thing i did to create this look was apply my Urban Decay Primer Potion (original) all over my eye lid, up in my crease and just below my brow bone.

Next, taking my Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Palette (£8) i applied the shade Flaw (top left) over the whole of my lid using a flat brush and up underneath my brow bone to add highlight. Next i took the shade Fawn on a fluffy short crease brush and dragged it through my crease, and slightly higher as i have hooded lids. I also applied this under my lower lash line too. After this i added the colour Earth gently through my crease to add a slightly darker colour with my fluffy brush and blended the whole look together.

After i applied my eyeshadow i had a bit of a strop applied my eyeliner. Usually when creating a smokey eye, before any mascara or eyeliner is added it looks abit weird. I usually start doubting myself and want to remove the whole thing, but it does get better!

Anyway.. I applied my eyeliner next, creating a gentle cat eye effect on the top lashes. I use the Maybelline Gel liner in black to create this. This look can be left at this for a casual look or liner can be added along the bottom lash line and gently blended out to create a more glam look, this is what i did in the pictures.

Next i used a thin coat of my Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara as a base, and on-top of this applied my Demi Wispies Lashes by Ardell.

To finish off the look i applied Chopper from Naked 2 by Urban Decay, over the top of the lid to create a subtle gentle shimmer, and added a tiny bit of the Mary Loumanizer Highlight by the Balm in my inner corner.

I hope you enjoyed this simple eye look! These are the posts i love doing more than anything so let me know what you think! Chloe :)

What's In My Bag?

Hello! Today's post is a realistic what is in my everyday bag post. I see alot of these posts featuring really strange things that i can't imagine ever needing to bring around with me, but my bag is as realistic as it gets! Aside from the receipts, loose chewing gum and chocolate bar wrappers oops i have included everything i usually bring around with me!

THE BAG:
I'm really lucky to have actually won this bag in a competition, i honestly could not believe my luck i don't win things ever! Its a tote bag from New Look and retails at £17.99 and comes in various pretty pastel colours such as yellow, pink, white, turquoise and pale blue. Its the perfect size for a small everyday bag. It does not look like it can hold much but believe me, it does!

The first thing i have in my bag is the latest issue of Cosmo with the beautiful Michelle Keegan on the cover!

This nail polish from the brand New Cid came free with the magazine and its honestly gorgeous! The colour was hard to capture, its alot more pink toned in real life but it's so bright and gorgeous i had to pick this one!

Dry shampoo is an essential for my bag, having really long thick hair i honestly do not have the energy to wash it every single day, so this is great for top ups! Plus the mini sized bottle is great for smaller bags.

Staying on the long thick hair topic, i can't be without a brush! This paddle brush from Denman is amazing, and doesn't rip out my hair like some other brushes.

Hand cream is an ultimate essential! I unfortunately have eczema on my hands and body and i find this hand cream is amazing when i can feel it flaring up again. I'm not so keen on the smell but it absorbs really quickly and does a great job at moisturising.

I don't think anyone goes anywhere without these three things! Keys, phone and purse. My phone case was from headcase designs on Ebay and cost £4.99! My purse is very old and from Peacocks but i can't bring myself to get rid of it.

This looks like alot of tablets for one bag but when you suffer with hayfever in the summer you need them!

what can i say? a wispa gold and a half eaten crunchie.. classy

The last things i have in my bag are lip products. I usually end up with every single lipstick i own in my bag as i just shove the one i'm wearing on the day in! It's nice to have a bit of moisture too and the peach baby lips is my current favourite!

What do you usually carry in your bag? Let me know! Chloe :)

The best makeup brushes ever?

Hello! Today's post is one i have been meaning to write for a long time.. but because i'm lazy and was avoiding washing my makeup brushes big time, it got slightly delayed! However i washed them all at the weekend and managed to get some pictures before they all turned orange/sparkly so here it is! Are these brushes the best makeup brushes ever?

These brushes are from the brand Nanshy and my set are the Luxury Makeup Brush Set, priced at £34.95, for this price you get 13 beautiful brushes and a fold up padded carry case for them, i got these at Christmas from my lovely boyfriend and just cannot get enough of them! The brushes have synthetic hair, are 100% Vegan and also are cruelty free.

These are possibly some of the softest makeup brushes i have ever felt! The handles are smooth and comfortable to hold for long periods of time (eyeshadow blending brush haha!)

Brushes the set contains:
Flat foundation brush - This one i find is perfect for applying light foundations/BB/CC Creams

Flat topped round foundation brush - This ones my ultimate favourite! Its amazing for buffing in foundation, contouring and even applying blush

Fluffy Brush - This ones perfect for powders of any sort, its nice and fluffy and gentle

Fluffy angled brush - I use this one for blush mainly, but its also great for powder highlights

Fluffy brush, flat topped foundation brush, angled brush and flat foundation brush

My ultimate favourite from the collection!
Big flat eyeshadow brush - This one is so good for when you want to apply colour over the whole lid

Smaller flat eyeshadow brush - This one is exactly the same as the big one expect its more precise and can be used under the bottom lashes to add colour

Small hard round brush - Another one of my favourites, this brush is so good for apply crease colours, it picks up alot of product and is small enough to run right through the crease

Fluffy blending brush - This ones amazing! It blends ever so well and is so soft light and fluffy

Angled eyeshadow brush - This ones nice for outer V, i think its too big however to use in the crease

Eyeliner brush - This one is nice, good for applying gel liner however it stains very easily and i have found a couple of the bristles have frayed

Angled eye brush - I use this personally for eyebrows however it could be used for liner too! This ones amazing, it never moves out of place and the angled line is so perfect and thin

Concealer brush - This brush is very versatile! Its great for apply concealer under the eyes and brow bone however its also good for eyeshadows, highlights and dusting off any fallout under the eyes

Double sided eyebrow/lash brush - This was a nice addition to the set, it works well and is nice that its double sided!

Small flat eyeshadow brush, Big flat eyeshadow brush, Fluffy blending brush and Small hard brush

An absolute plus side to these brushes is the fact that when you wash them they return back to the original colour completely! I always forget how nice and white they are till they get cleaned.

You can buy many other sets of brushes from this company, including other white ones and black ones too. They also sell brushes individually.  I've hinted at my boyfriend that i'd like the ultimate face set for my birthday present as i just love these brushes so much! They are definitely my favourite ones i have ever tried and will not be looking for a new brand of brush any time soon!

Do you have a favourite brand of brushes that work well for you? Let me know! Chloe :)

All Time Jewellery Favourites!

Hello! Today's post is something a little different. I don't usually see posts like this (maybe i'm not looking hard enough!) but i thought it may be interesting to some people! I always remember being at school or college and seeing girls walking round with individual jewellery pieces thinking wow she pulls that off so well! maybe if i get something similar i will look just as cool.  I hope that now i have my own jewellery favourites people will look at mine and think wow she's so effortlessly cool. Hahaha. Moving on, here are the jewellery items i wear almost every single day!

Possibly the cutest jewellery stand ever!
EARRINGS
I have a double ear piercing (meaning i have two holes for earrings on my lobe) and i am not a fan of big earrings as they swamp my small ears. I used to always buy the Primark pearly effect plastic earrings for years and built up a massive collection, but this year on my one year anniversary with my boyfriend he brought me a real Pearl pair, i about cried! These ones are from Pandora, which i personally find such a pretty girly brand of jewellery, i love the shop so much.

These earrings have a lovely silver edge round them with a pretty pattern that almost reminds me of leaves. They are silver and really delicate looking on the ears!

These are my back up earrings! I wear these in my second ear pierce hole and i got these in a set from Asda about 7 years ago for around £2. I think they are just metal and at one point they were nice and gold but now they look... slightly vintage. They have caused me no irritation being so cheap and they still look pretty and elegant if you don't look too closely!

BRACELETS

On a day to day basis i wear two bracelets, both of them actually have a lot of meaning to me. My first one is my Pandora bracelet (do you see a reoccurring theme of Pandora jewellery yet?) I know alot of people have these, but i can understand why they are so simple yet look so good with anything! They can either be day to day accessories or glam up a posh outfit so you are winning either way! This bracelet was another gift from my boyfriend, he's the sweetest! Over time him and other family members have brought me pretty little charms for it for Christmas and Birthday presents.

This shopping charm is so cute!

i know the colours don't necessarily match but i love it this way!

My second everyday bracelet is by a brand called Nomination. These bracelets are becoming more and more popular by the day! They are an alternative to a charm bracelet, as they have pictures and links that are personalised without the dangly or 3D effect of charms. I got mine when i was only 13 and now i'm almost 20 so i've had it a long while! Some of the links have started to break away but regardless i still love it.

RINGS
One day when i was a little girl i decided to myself wearing every single category of jewellery in one go would make me look too fancy when i'm the least fancy person ever, so i made a choice: wear necklaces OR rings. I went for rings and too this day i tend to prefer them over necklaces how silly haha! Lets get the Pandora ring out of the way first... I'll soon be a walking advertisement for that company but i can't help it, it's gorgeous!

This is one of Pandora's birthstone rings and mine is the May one. The colour is one of my absolute favourite colours so i was thrilled when i found out it was my month! I also love all of the other stones though and would really love the pink stoned one too, however i would feel so wrong wearing the wrong monthed ring! It wasn't too expensive and i got it as a Christmas gift from my dad that i picked myself! I'm thinking of treating myself to some more rings from there huge collection soon as they are just soooo pretty.

This was an 18th Birthday present from my Aunty and is one of my most valued presents i've ever got i think its so beautiful and unusal! I'm usually really careful with this one as i don't think it was too cheap and i get nervous with expensive things, i'm definitely too used to Primark level things. This picture doesn't do it justice, in the light it is so sparkly and all of the clear stones reflect the light!

I hope you enjoyed this post! I felt like it was something different!
*Disclaimer - this is in no way me trying to show off! I love being nosy with things other people have and i'm sure others feel the same way, this is just me letting you be nosy too!

Thanks for reading i appreciate every single view! :)
