September wishlist 2015!

This is it. We are already in the 9th month of the year and time does not seem to be slowing down for anything! We are now reaching the month where autumn begins to creep in, fluffy jumpers are pulled out and my cravings for a toasty hot chocolate increase dramatically.

I'm feeling a little beauty update and plan on altering my daily make up this month, so alot of beauty products are featured in this little wish list.

(L-R)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - £15.50
- My brows have finally grown out (yay) so now i need something a little more natural looking to give more gentle definition to my brows.

Next at home A-Z letter cushions - £10.00

Velvet Ghost throw - Primark - £10.00

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer - £7.99
- As much as i love my Rimmel Wake me up, i need a little change and have heard good things about this!

MAC Look In A Box - pretty natural £29.00
Contains lipstick: pretty natural, lipglass: feeling fine and lip pencil: subculture

Artist of Makeup Highlight Stick - £18.00

Sasha oversized V neck jumper in Charcoal - Boohoo - £15.00

Nails inc - Battersea park polish - £14.00

Easter Beauty Products! / Holiday to Switzerland

This week there has been a lack of posts here on my blog, due to the fact that I have been on holiday in Switzerland. Me and my boyfriend went to stay with family for a week and had an amazing time. Whilst over there i couldn't help but look at all of the makeup! With France and Germany so close by I managed to look at many brands I had never seen before in the UK, however me being me I ended up buying a fair few products that are sold over here. To be fair though i got them for cheaper over there than here woooo!

MAKEUP:

Makeup Revolution - Blush Palette - Sugar and Spice £6.00
One of the first things I got was not from overseas! Before i went away i picked up the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette from Superdrug. I was very impressed with the amount of blushes you get for just £6. The palette contains two peachy contour colours, 4 bright pinks, a pink frosted highlighter and a baked blush. My favourite from the set is the baked blush, it is basically a blush and highlighter in one and gives a pretty pink shimmery glow to the cheeks. Each colour is really pigmented, meaning you only have to use a really tiny amount!

Baked Blush

Urban Decay - Naked 3 Palette - 49.90 (£38)
Whilst in France, i visited Sephora! I was overly excited about going here, and managed to leave with only one thing that i could get over here in the UK. I picked up the famous Naked 3 Palette. It is honestly as amazing as it looks, I already have the Naked 2 Palette but found myself wanting a more pinky toned shadow that was just as good quality as the 2, so i went for 3! My favourite colour from the palette is probably Nooner. I think nooner is the pink version of Tease from the 2 palette, it's matte and pinky and looks great in the crease.

Catrice - Made to stay highlighter pen - 3.75
I was so desperate to find a really nice highlighter, and after contemplating buying the Balms Mary Loumanizer, i'm glad i didn't! This highlighter pen is smooth and creamy and really is made to stay! It was so cheap and i honestly wish i had brought the other shade too. I picked up 010 Eye Like, which is the nude toned highlighter out of the collection.

Loreal - Super Liner Perfect Slim - £6.99
I brought this eyeliner in Basel Switzerland but completely forgot how much it was in Euro's but they also sell this product in the UK for £6.99. I didn't technically need a new eyeliner as i love my Maybelline Gel, but this one made such a clear thin line on the back of my hand it went straight into my basket! I highly recommend this eyeliner as its just so easy to use with the pen tip. The only downside to this eyeliner is if you accidentally fall asleep in it you will wake up with it over the whole of your face! I found blobs of it under my chin and down the sides of my nose oops.

Misslyn Nail Polish - Venus€4.99
This polish has a sheer pink base with a golden orange shimmer within it. It is from the Galaxy collection and this was also brought in Basel. The polish is quite sheer and requires a good few coats but if used with a good topcoat it honestly lasts ages and its so shimmery and pretty.

Essence Nail Polish - Truth or Dare - £2.00
This polish is a topper that consists of small nude and white dots and large white and nude hexagons. Its very pretty and spring like and for the price is actually very good!

Thanks for reading! Below are just some holiday pictures so feel free to scroll past if it doesn't interest you, let me know if you have ever brought any makeup products from overseas that you love :)

Spring Pastel and Pretty Favourites!

Hello! I have been feeling very spring like recently after reading tons of magazines filled with pretty pastel accessories and i decided after a little shopping spree, i should create my own version. Here are my top pretty essentials ready for spring

VERA WANG - PINK PRINCESS
This beautiful pretty looking fragrance was sadly discontinued in 2013, however there are plenty of websites that still stock it such as Amazon, Fragrance Direct and Beauty Base. The prices online range from £13.99 - £25.00. This perfume is so perfect for spring, if you like sweet scents this ones for you! The ingredients in it even sound incredible, this scent includes notes of Pink Grapefruit, Raspberry Sorbet, Pink Hibiscus, Honeysuckle, Marshmallow and White Amber. (if i could insert the heart eyed emoji here i would!) I can't recommend this perfume enough, its honestly amazing.

Even the bottle is pretty! Sparkly pink with a jeweled crown lid.

RIMMEL NAIL POLISH - RITA ORA COLLECTION - WILD-ER-NESS (£1.98)

I read somewhere that lilac nail polishes are the in colour for 2015! I couldn't agree more, i didn't actually have any polishes this colour and couldn't resist buying this from Asda for £1.98! Lilac nail polishes are meant to go with any skin colour with any type of undertones, and they also compliment any colour of jewelry.

 MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS - £2.99

These cute little lip balms have had mixed reviews ever since they were released in the UK, but honestly i love them! I use them more as lip tints when i don't feel like wearing lipstick and on top of lipstick colours to either change the colour slightly or just make my lips feel more moisturised if the lipsticks dry. They are such a steal at £2.99 (i got mine from Boots) and they look so sweet. Pink Punch leaves a pinky tint to lips and tastes amazing. Peach kiss is a great topper for nude lipsticks and Cherry Me gives a lovely red tint without looking too full on.

VASELINE INTENSIVE CARE MOISTURISER  (healing) £2.19
This pretty pastel looking moisturiser was picked up on my Boots trip. It isn't entirely relevant to spring but the colour reminds me of Easter for some reason so that's good enough! It is a nice light moisturiser that is surprisingly non greasy. It also works pretty well, I have really dry skin and it has helped alot.

KLEENEX OVAL TISSUES (2 FOR £3.00)
Tissues don't seem exactly pretty and spring like considering they are used for horrible runny noses but the box is cute! Tissues are very ideal in the spring if you suffer from hayfever like me boooo, however i suppose it feels slightly less depressing if you are blowing your nose on something pretty. These tissues are on offer at Sainsbury's at the moment, 2 packs for £3!

SPARKLY CLIP ON BUTTERFLIES
These were actually from Home Bargains however i do not think they stock them anymore, but i have found the exact alternatives on Ebay and Amazon. These little clip on beauties make any room look 100 times more girly and spring like. I have these scattered round my room and they look ever so lovely.

I hope you liked this spring favourites/essentials! Let me know if you have any of these things or have any other amazing spring favourites! :)

Nail Polishes Everyone Should Own!

Going through my ridiculously excessive nail polish collection, i realised i only used half of the colours in there. When picking a polish i tend to go back and re-use my favourites time and time again, so i've put them all in little collections. Here are the nail polishes i think everyone should have a selection of!

CLASSY NUDES
OPI - Samoan Sand      -         Sally Hansen - Shell We Dance     -        Boujois - 03BCBeige

Nudes are essential for any nail polish collection! They are great for when you just want to feel oh so classy! These kind of colours are perfect for formal events, job interviews and situations where you don't want to be rocking a glittery bright nail.

The OPI polish has more of an orange/peach undertone and is very glossy, it takes about 2-3 coats to get this to the colour it looks in the bottle.

The Sally Hansen polish has a very pink undertone. It's a good colour for the topcoat on a french manicure and is nice and shiny. This polish is quite sheer and it requires a good 3-4 coats to get its full colour shown.

The bourjois polish is brown undertoned. Its fairly cheap and only requires 2 coats to look lovely.

SULTRY REDS
No7 Stay Perfect red     -     Nails Inc - Luminous Red       -      Jess Red        -       Nails Inc - St Martin's place

Red polish is great for when you want to feel slightly sexy yet still fairly girly and classic. There is a mixture of reds you can go for, slightly more burgundy less in-your-face reds or the full works POP look at me reds, here are my favourites:

The No7 Stay Perfect red has a lovely metallic sheen to it, its not too bright and covers nicely. It is a good quality formula but needs a good topcoat as metallic polishes tend to chip easily.

The Nails Inc red was actually free with some toothpaste (not my regular toothpaste but who cares, free polish!) This one is also metallic however the colour is slightly brighter than the No7 red.

The plain bottled polish is actually from Poundland. It is from the old Jess range which has now been rebottled with logos on the front. This is definitely an IN YOUR FACE red but its gorgeous! A couple of coats are needed  but its ridiculously shiny for only £1.

The Nails Inc burgundy is perfect for those of you who don't want to blind people by your bright nails, it is nice and classy and the Nails Inc formula is great. Wear a base coat underneath  this one particularly as it will stain natural nails.

NEUTRAL GLITTERS

Rimmel - Finish Touch Glitter      -      Avon - Opal Effects        -         Nicole OPI - Make U Smile         -        Barry M np351

These are possibly some of my all time favourite polishes ever! Who can't resist girly sparkly nails.

The Rimmel Finishing Touch is a slightly milky glitter with gold flecks in. The glitter particles are small and shine a bluey colour in various lights. This polish is very thick so only one coat is needed but it looks lovely.

Avon Opal Effect polish contains giant iridescent flakes. This polish is cool toned and thick. I found the best way to use this was pick individual flakes out with a dotting tool and place them exactly where i wanted onto my nails.

The Nicole OPI collection polish is my all time favourite. It has silver hexagons (they appear circle shaped from regular eye distance away) in a clear base. Its so shiny and so sparkly, its just amazing!

The gold glitter is from Barry M. This is another amazing glitter, it contains gold flakes, and smaller hexagon holographic shapes, this makes it look much more 3D than a plain gold glitter. It comes out nicely and isn't too thick however it hasn't lasted as long as some of my other glitters, it dried up fairly quickly.

PRETTY PASTELS

Revlon - Stay Classy       -      Nails Inc - Sheraton Street      -      Sinful Colours - Unicorn        -        Nails Inc - Spring Mews

Pastel polishes are great for Spring (or in my case Summer, Autumn and Winter too). They give off a nice girly look but can be switched up and picked to match any accessory or item of clothing you are wearing.

The Revlon pink is a lovely neutral pastel, its pretty and pinky with a few nude undertones. The brush in this bottle is great for people who have long or thin nails as its small, so you have a lot of control.

The Nails Inc blue is my all time favourite. It looks so unusual on nails, as it isn't as bright as baby blue yet its still so lovely. I'd recommend this colour to anyone, trust me you will get so many compliments on it!

The Sinful colours polish is a nice pastel yellow, it's not too bright and not too pale making this colour great for summer. It also looks good with a really nice tan.

The Nails Inc green is fresh and definitely a spring colour. It gives a gentle pop to your nails without being too bright.

BASIC NAIL CARE

Nails Inc Due - Hyde Park Basecoat, Albert Bridge Topcoat,      -      Boujois - So Perfect! Basecoat, 30 Second Gel Topcoat

Having a good top coat / base coat is essential for long lasting amazing looking nails. It gives shine and also protection to your nails.

The Nails Inc duo are amazing! They dry ever so quickly. The base coat honestly protects your nails really well from staining and breaking and the top coat seals the polish in for a long lasting manicure.

The boujois polishes are also good! These are a cheaper alternative to the Nails Inc polishes. The base coat is slightly thin however if you really needed the protection again staining you could wear two coats. The topcoat is a gel and is great for making your nails look like real gel nails. Its long lasting and has an amazing brush.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know which polishes you own that you think everyone else should buy! :)
